Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Officer to ensure that our healthcare services meet all regulatory, legal, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of CQC requirements, safeguarding policies, and healthcare governance, with the ability to monitor, audit, and support continuous improvement across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure the organisation complies with CQC regulations, safeguarding frameworks, GDPR, and health & safety legislation.
* Develop, implement, and monitor compliance policies and procedures.
* Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement.
* Prepare reports for senior management and regulators, highlighting compliance performance.
* Investigate incidents, complaints, and breaches, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
* Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance, safeguarding, and regulatory standards.
* Stay updated with changes in healthcare laws, policies, and best practices.
* Liaise with external regulators, local authorities, and stakeholders during inspections and reviews.
* Support governance meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a compliance, governance, or quality role within healthcare or social care.
* Strong knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding policies, MCA/DOLS, and healthcare legislation.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to train and influence staff.
* Attention to detail with a proactive and professional approach.
* Relevant qualification in Health & Social Care, Quality Assurance, or Compliance (desirable).
