Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Chelmsford

Contract: Full-time
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a supportive primary school in Chelmsford from September. This full-time role will focus on supporting pupils transitioning into Year 1, making it ideal for someone with strong knowledge of early learning and Key Stage 1.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working as an LSA or Teaching Assistant
* Strong experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
* Good understanding of the KS1 curriculum
* A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
* Ability to support children during key transition periods
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils, particularly those with SEN
* Support children transitioning from Early Years into Year 1
* Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and structured lessons
* Help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
* Monitor and report on pupil progress
