Job Title: HR Advisor Location: Newtownabbey Salary: £35,000 Contract: Full time, permanent Summary VANRATH is partnering with a well-established organisation who are seeking an HR Advisor to provide guidance on employee relations, compliance, and workforce matters. The role suits a proactive HR professional with strong employment law knowledge who can deliver practical solutions and support strategic people decisions. What do you need? CIPD Level 5 qualification or working towards it. Demonstrated experience in an HR advisory role. Strong knowledge of Northern Ireland employment law. Experience managing employee relations cases from start to finish. Practical experience supporting or overseeing overseas workers and right to work compliance. What you will do each day Provide HR guidance to managers on performance management, conduct, absence, grievances, and probation matters. Lead or support investigations, disciplinary hearings, grievance hearings, and appeals. Oversee sponsor licence compliance, including monitoring Certificates of Sponsorship and ensuring eligibility criteria for overseas workers. Ensure employees work in line with their roles, contracted hours, locations, and visa conditions, managing extensions or variations as required. Maintain complete and audit-ready personnel records, including contracts, right to work checks, and visa documentation. Ensure HR practices comply with employment legislation, safeguarding requirements, and care sector standards. Develop, implement, and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures, supporting managers in consistent application. Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes for both domestic and overseas staff, ensuring compliance with pre-employment checks.
