Our client, a major manufacturer of machine parts is looking for CNC setter operators to join their afternoon shift team for ongoing positions with a view to become permanent following a successful trial period. You will be working on CNC turning machines with Fanuc / Mitsubishi controls working on low batch quantities.
The typical responsibilities of this role include
* Set CNC Turning machines for production
* Make adjustments to the machine setting as required.
* Ensure quality expectations, as per drawings and planning are achieved.
* Ensure allocated operation time have been achieved
* Be aware and follow health and safety regulations for yourself and fellow team members
Education and Experience
* You must have a min of 4 years experience in working on CNC turning machines.
* You must be conversant with Fanuc/ Mitsubishi controls to make routine adjustments
* You must be able to read and interpret technical drawings
* You must be conversant with the use of inspection instruments to measure Diameter, surface texture, roundness and concentricity ect.
Working hours and pay
* Mon- Thu with a 30 min break
* on Friday
* Hours are paid at £15.52 per hour
