About the role
We are seeking a proactive and approachable IT Assistant to provide first‑line technical support across our children’s residential homes and school.
The Loddon School supports children with severe autism, so patience, reliability, and sensitivity are essential. This role plays a key part in ensuring technology is safe, accessible, and supports daily care and education. The position is a fixed‑term, 9‑12 month maternity cover.

22.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (flexible between 8.30am and 4.30pm).
Part‑time.
Hourly rate £13.05 – £14.08.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support
* Provide first‑line IT support (in person, phone, email)
* Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and connectivity issues
* Support devices such as laptops, tablets, printers, and displays
* Escalate complex issues when required
On‑Site Support
* Carry out routine equipment checks
* Replace and maintain basic IT equipment
* Support staff with care‑related technology
* Configure devices for accessibility and sensory needs
* Work respectfully within children’s home environments
Administration & Systems
* Keep records of work and equipment
* Assist with account set‑up and device configuration
* Support small IT projects and upgrades
Health, Safety & Compliance
* Follow data protection and confidentiality standards
* Promote safeguarding and child welfare
* Adhere to company policies and training requirements

Requirements
* Right to work in the UK and 12 months or more on your visa.
