The Team
You will be working along side a team of front of house assistants lead by an Assistant Manager and Catering Supervisors, helping support the serviced outlets and serviced hospitality.
The role
The University is looking for a food service assistant to join our Catering team and support the team in providing meals to students, staff, and visitors. The role currently available is a 30-hour post working from 9.30 am – 3.30 pm, 5 days out of 7, term time only on a fixed-term contract for 20 weeks to cover maternity leave. The work is mainly Monday to Friday, but does include some scheduled weekend work at various points during the year.
Experience of working in a catering and hospitality environment is essential, and some knowledge of food hygiene and food allergens is desirable, but not essential, as full training will be given. High levels of personal hygiene are essential.
Key requirements
1. Knowledge of good customer and retail service
2. Knowledge of basic Food safety and health and safety requirements
3. Able to work as part of a team.
