Job Title: QC Scientist 2
Employment Type: Full time – 12 month FTC
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
Position Summary
Our Swindon facility houses our Zydis® fast dissolving tablet development and manufacturing operation as well as a CMC pharmaceutical analytical lab services unit that offers ASAP stability. Join our dynamic Quality Control team as a QC Scientist 2 in Swindon, where you'll play a key role in supporting product release, stability studies, and in‑process validation. This is a hands‑on analytical position with opportunities to grow your technical expertise and contribute to high‑impact pharmaceutical projects.
The Role
* Perform QC release, stability, and validation testing using approved methods and SOPs.
* Operate analytical techniques: balances, pH meter, UV, Karl Fischer, FT‑IR, TLC, dissolution, and HPLC (incl. degradation analysis).
* Review, report, and verify analytical data in compliance with GMP and internal standards.
* Generate test plans and stability reports; investigate OOS/OOT results and complete deviation forms.
* Use LIMS (data entry/verification), Qumas (document control), and Trackwise (viewer access).
* Interpret tracking sheets, apply correct specs/methods, and manage tasks independently.
* Maintain lab areas per 5S and GMP; support VMI/Kanban ordering and lab rota duties.
* Ensure EH&S compliance, raise SOS reports, and contribute to LSC activities.
* Support audit readiness and complete required training.

* Experience with HPLC.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
* Working knowledge of corporate standards, site policies, and Zydis behaviours.
* Willingness to perform any task as directed by line management.
