What will your day look like:
* Ownership and oversight of the claims handling team, including management of team workload
* Managing a mixture of remote and office based claims handlers
* Development of claims handlers to achieve client SLA’s via support and coaching
* Ensure a high level of staff engagement
* Attend Client Review Meetings where appropriate
* Conducting regular performance and audit reviews, include annual PDR’s
* Managing claims handler absences
* Continuous improvement focus leading excellent customer service and technical delivery of claims
* Complaint escalation point
* Ensure Key Performance Indicator targets are reached and maintained.
* Oversight of payment audit approval process to defined limits
* Involvement in recruitment and interview processes for claims handler/administrator roles

Knowledge and Abilities:
* A genuine passion for people management
* The confidence and gravitas to act as an efficient escalation point: Claims and team related queries / Complaints. Experience of Customer Service and Claims Management in an insurance background.
* Flexibility and adaptability.
* The ability to organise own workload.
