Position Overview
As a Preventative Maintenance Engineer, you will collaborate closely with our controller to ensure our equipment is always operational and ready for our customers. Your role will involve:
* Routine Maintenance: Conduct timely and efficient servicing and inspections.
* Issue Identification: Spot potential problems that could affect equipment availability.
* Minor Repairs: Carry out minor repairs as needed, ensuring safety for yourself and our customers.

Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
* Preventative Maintenance Servicing: Perform routine servicing in line with manufacturer guidelines (75% of your time).
* Machine Inspection: Conduct visual and mechanical analyses to identify developing issues (20% of your time).
* Minor Repairs: Complete minor repairs and install telematic systems (5% of your time).
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* A basic knowledge of engines, hydraulics, powertrain, and vehicle electrics/electronics.
* Experience in a related engineering function (around 3 years) or a formal apprenticeship qualification.
* A full driving license held for at least 2 years (subject to a DVLA check).
Working Conditions
This is a field-based role with a working pattern of:
* 43 hours per week with flexible start and finish times.
* Monday to Friday, with one Saturday every three weeks at an overtime rate.
