We are seeking a part-time Optometrist to join our Worcester and Bromsgrove sites. This is a fixed-term contract lasting 12 months, starting from September 2025, working exclusively on Fridays. An IP Qualification is essential.
Optometrists at Newmedica play a crucial role in our clinical services. They conduct pre- and post-operative clinics, triage patients, and operate diagnostic equipment to perform clinical assessments. They analyze and interpret specialist diagnostic test results, including identifying new or deteriorating eye conditions.
Responsibilities include providing advice to patients, explaining procedures, and offering reassurance, especially given the anxiety some patients may feel about eye surgery. Empathy and friendliness are key qualities for our Optometrists.
This role offers a modern, hospital-based environment with opportunities for ongoing clinical learning. Our patients present a variety of complex clinical cases, making this an excellent opportunity for a qualified Optometrist seeking professional development and broader clinical experience.
