Job Overview An exciting opportunity has arisen to take on the role of Pelvic Health Clinical Specialist within East area of BCUHB. As a Clinical Specialist in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy, you will play a pivotal role in delivering expert care to individuals with complex pelvic health conditions. You will work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing advanced assessment and evidence-based interventions. The role also involves service development, clinical leadership, and the supervision of junior staff and students. This position is ideal for a highly motivated physiotherapist with specialist training in pelvic health, a passion for women’s and men’s health, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes through innovation and collaboration. The physiotherapy service in BCUHB offers a whole career pathway. Service improvement and development is encouraged and all staff have access to regular supervision and training. Main duties of the job To take a clinical lead role in the assessment and treatment of patients where the caseload will comprise of mainly patients with complex presentations. To work as an autonomous, clinical specialist physiotherapist. To work with the advanced practitioner physiotherapist to develop and deliver a high quality clinical service throughout BCUHB. Leading by example; provide a high standard of specialist assessment and treatment of patients in a variety of locations. To develop competencies for frontline clinical staff within the section in order to assess; clinically reason and effectively treat routine cases and identify those with complex needs where support may be required. Support staff to develop skills to identify potential serious pathology in patients referred for physiotherapy. To provide an ongoing rolling training programme and support package to develop appropriate knowledge and skills in the workforce within the specialism and rotational staff base. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
