In this Primary School Kitchen, you will be responsible for all activities including cooking, organisation, and supervision of food service.
You will supervise staff working in the kitchen.
You must be aware of HACCP procedures and ensure all paperwork, including electronic returns, is completed and submitted accordingly.
Understanding dietary and nutritional needs is required.
Duties may include transporting and serving meals, general kitchen and dining room duties (such as washing up, setting up, and clearing equipment and tables), and cleaning the kitchen and its surroundings.

* East Wemyss Primary School, 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 5.5 hours per day, between 8:30 am and 2:30 pm, on a 52-week contract.
You will earn a competitive salary of £24,890.91 to £27,087.17 pro-rata and have access to benefits including:
* £13.26 per hour to start, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.

This role involves ensuring pupils and staff are provided with meals during the school day, mainly breakfast and lunch during term time.
Training on in-house systems will be provided. Working towards an Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate is essential once in post.
The Person
Catering experience or a qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent is essential.
Before confirming your appointment, you will need to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and join the relevant PVG scheme.
You should provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a team.
