Job Description:
Hays Education is excited to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Bristol. This full-time role offers the opportunity to support students in Key Stage 2 (ages 7-11), helping them thrive academically and socially. You will work alongside teachers to create an inspiring and inclusive learning environment, providing targeted support to help students achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons for KS2 students.
2. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, helping them with their academic work and addressing individual learning needs.
3. Support students in developing their literacy, numeracy, and problem-solving skills.
4. Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive, focused learning environment.
5. Observe and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers to help tailor future lessons.
6. Assist in preparing learning materials, activities, and resources.
7. Support children with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring inclusion and personal development.
8. Build strong relationships with students, parents, and school staff to foster a supportive and collaborative learningmunity.
Key Requirements:
9. Previous experience working with children, ideally in a primary or educational setting.
10. Strongmunication and interpersonal skills.
11. A patient, proactive, and adaptable approach to working with students.
12. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
13. Enhanced DBS check (Hays can assist with this if needed).
14. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable, but not essential.
