Specifically, the position provides direct oversight for recruitment, selection, training and supervision of undergraduate and graduate staff; Assists students experiencing personal, social, psychological, academic and adjustment problems and refers to services and programs as appropriate; Serves as an advisor to the Residence Hall Association and as a member of the Crisis Management Team; Articulates and enforces University policies and procedures; Manages the judicial cases for assigned area and participates in board hearings; Administers all aspects of programming; Provides direct oversight in coordinating the residence hall preparation for opening and closing every semester and during holidays and applicable breaks within the academic year; Participates in a weekly on-call rotation including nights and weekends; Conducts daily office hours and posts hours for easy accessibility and recognition of residents.**Authority and Accountability**Reports to Paul DeCock. Has 2-3 Resident Directors (Graduate students), and up to 12 Resident Assistants (student staff). This position is responsible for the programming budgets for the building and area.**Required and Minimum Qualifications**1-3 years of Resident Assistant experience or 1-3 years of experience in College Housing or related Student Affairs field and a master’s degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education, Counseling or another related field.Must be detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization and planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management, and oral & written communication skills. Must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure, independently, and in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.**Preferred Qualifications**Resident Director or comparable building manager experience preferred. Experience involving a multicultural emphasis, application of student development theory, and/or Living Learning Communities is preferred.**Additional Job Information:**The position is a Contingent II, full-time, exempt position.Priority will be given to applicants who apply by March 25, 2026.
