Financial Administrator – Chilton Meadows Care Home

Location: Chilton Meadows Care Home, Stowmarket IP14 1HL

Salary: £27,590 – £35,162 per year (dependent on experience)

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm

Welcome bonus: £1000 (after four weeks’ service, subject to tax and NI deductions)


Key Responsibilities

* Raise invoices and process income, including cash allocation, using bespoke software
* Complete banking tasks and take appropriate action in relation to debt management
* liaise with Local and Health Authorities to ensure appropriate information and payment is received
* Ensure correct and complete documentation, including Terms and Conditions, is provided and recorded for all admissions
* Safeguard monies on behalf of residents and funds raised by the home, recording and reconciling transactions to bank statements
* Administer purchasing and supplier payments, manage petty cash transactions and replenishment
* Process employee information and payroll to ensure staff information and payments are accurate and timely
* Provide clerical support to the Home Manager, including letter writing, memos and local management reporting
* Maintain a well‑ordered filing system, stationary replenishment and personnel file management


Essential Qualifications and Skills

* Previous experience as a Financial Administrator
* Excellent customer service skills with a friendly manner face‑to‑face and over the phone
* Approachable, organised, detail‑oriented and able to build strong relationships with residents, families and teams
* Dedicated, efficient and able to handle a varied workload
* A caring attitude underpins all responsibilities
