Phlebotomist – Responsibilities
We are looking for a permanent part‑time Phlebotomist to work at Glangwili General Hospital, Carmarthen. The post is Band 2, 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00–11:00. Flexibility may be required for Saturday, Sunday and bank holiday rota (extra remuneration will be provided for these shifts). The successful candidate will assist in the efficient, caring and smooth‑running of the Phlebotomy service, collecting blood samples by venepuncture from wards, out‑patient department and outreach clinics. Full in‑house training will be provided under the direction of the Phlebotomy Team Leader.
Interviews will be held on 14 November 2025.
Phlebotomist – Qualifications & Requirements
* Permanent part‑time Band 2 role, 15 hours per week.
* Welsh language speaking desirable; Welsh and/or English equally welcome.
* Experience or demonstrated ability in phlebotomy.
* Willingness to work flexible hours and additional weekend rota.
* Commitment to delivering quality patient care.
This position is within the Hywel Dda University Health Board, which provides NHS healthcare services for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and neighbouring counties.
