Key roles and responsibilities of this position include managing product development projects from concept to launch, overseeing R&D activities through the project stage gate process, and coordinating with suppliers to source new ingredients.
Other key duties include developing new recipes, preparing and presenting innovative concept samples, working in the kitchen or pilot plant area, calculating nutrition tables, and maintaining awareness of key food trends.
You will also operate the pilot plant independently, plan and organize scale-up trials, and produce clear trial reports. In addition, you will build relationships with suppliers, contribute to food safety risk assessments, and ensure that all products meet quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have a BSc/MSc in food science/science/dairy technology or corresponding degree level, knowledge of dairy science and processing, and experience in developing dairy products. Computer literacy and analytical skills are also essential.
