Placement Coordinator
Location: Southampton (Office-Based)
Contract: Initially 3 months
Hours: 37 hours per week
Rate: £18.22 per hour (Umbrella) (£14.46 PAYE an hour)
Start Date: ASAP
🔍 About the Role: Southampton City Council is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Placement Coordinator to support its Adult Social Care Teams. This is a non-frontline, office-based role ideal for candidates with experience in social care settings (though not requiring a qualified practitioner).
You’ll play a key role in sourcing support packages and placements, ensuring contractual accuracy, and liaising with social care teams, finance, and external providers.
🧾 Key Responsibilities:
1. Source and coordinate support packages and care placements for adults
2. Ensure individual contracts and documentation are accurate and in place
3. Work closely with the Adult Social Care teams and Clinical Commissioning Group (Hampshire, Southampton & Isle of Wight)
4. Liaise with the Finance Team to help resolve any issues relating to care provision
5. Build and maintain strong working relationships with social workers, service providers, and internal partners
