A well-established, independent consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering integrated landscape and environmental solutions is seeking an ambitious and experienced Landscape Architect to join their team as Design Lead.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the company's design portfolio and leading a talented landscape team.
The Role
The successful candidate will join an established landscape architecture team, taking a leading role in the design and delivery of a wide range of landscape projects. With a particular emphasis on supporting master planning and mitigation design for major infrastructure projects, as well as flood defense schemes, you'll work closely with planning, environmental, and engineering colleagues to deliver high-quality, innovative outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a portfolio of landscape design projects from concept through to site delivery.
Provide creative and technical direction across a range of scales and sectors.
Mentor and consolidate the existing landscape team, with a view to strategic growth.
Work collaboratively with internal teams and external clients, including engineering and planning consultancies.
Contribute to master planning and mitigation strategies for infrastructure and flood defense projects.
Ensure delivery on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
Is a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI).
Has significant experience in landscape design, including on-site implementation.
Has successfully led projects through all work stages, balancing creativity with commercial awareness.
Is a confident communicator, capable of building and maintaining strong client relationships.
Brings practical experience of working with public sector clients-experience with national environmental agencies would be a distinct advantage.
Is enthusiastic about mentoring and developing junior staff while contributing to a collaborative and positive studio culture.
