Overview:
Masimo is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Strategic Sourcing Lead to support our Procurement team in building a high-performing supply network. This role is ideal for someone early in their strategic sourcing career who is ready to take ownership of supplier relationships, contribute to cost optimization efforts, and collaborate across functions to drive supply chain improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supplier Relationship Support:
* Assist in managing supplier accounts and coordinating with internal teams to ensure supplier performance aligns with business goals.
* Sourcing & Cost Analysis:
* Support sourcing activities for finished components, focusing on securing competitive pricing and evaluating total landed cost.
* Process Improvement:
* Participate in identifying opportunities for supply chain and procurement process improvements, both short-term and long-term.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration:
* Work closely with Engineering, R&D, and other departments to ensure Procurement is involved early in product and project planning.
* Supplier Evaluation:
* Help assess supplier capabilities and contribute to improvement plans using tools like supplier scorecards.
* New Product Introduction (NPI):
* Collaborate with teams to support sourcing for new product launches, ensuring timely and cost-effective supplier engagement.
* Risk Awareness:
* Assist in identifying potential supply chain risks and support mitigation strategies.
* Contract & Data Management:
* Help maintain commercial agreements and ensure accurate data entry in Procurement-related ERP fields.
* Procurement Process Support:
* Contribute to the development and documentation of sourcing and supplier management processes.
* End-of-Life Project Support:
* Support ramp-down activities for products reaching the end of production, ensuring smooth transitions.
What You’ll Bring:
* A foundational understanding of procurement or supply chain principles (experience in a related role or internship is a plus).
* Strong analytical and communication skills.
* A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn from cross-functional teams.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is beneficial.
* A proactive attitude and interest in developing strategic sourcing expertise.
