We are looking for a teacher who will motivate and support our older students as they work towards a meaningful and ambitious learning that supports their independence and wellbeing. At the Wyvern School you will play a key role in helping our student thrive, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and confidence for their future.
If you are a teacher currently working in mainstream but looking for a something a little different this could be for you. We would also be keen to hear from candidates already working within the specialist sector.
We have very high standards and aspirations for our children. We are focused on each student achieving their individual potential rather than phonics screening or SATS results. The aim of our curriculum is to ensure that students are well prepared for life beyond Wyvern, this includes their self-care, communication, independence, social skills as well as English and Maths
If you are a creative Teacher with expert knowledge, personalised to meet the needs of children with SEND or a love for real life interactive teaching strategies, we would love to hear from you.
Team work is essential in all of our classes and successful applicants will work as part of a supportive team. This includes your class team of LSA / MTA / HLTA staff and the wider pathway and school team.
We have an established highly effective programme of supporting Early Career teachers with a passion for SEND. This role is suitable for an ECT. Successful ECT applicants will be offered a role from July 2026 when they will begin our immersive induction programme, being paid over the summer holidays!
