I'm looking for a founding Data Engineer to join an insurance scale-up in London! They specialise in non-standard home insurance and are at a pivotal point in growing and shaping their business. As a result, this role will support the future development of their Data Engineering capability, alongside supporting Pricing and Data Science teams to create impactive results by improving data quality and improving data pipelines that feed into their pricing platform.
In a nutshell, you'll own the data engineering function and collaborate to improve and complete the migration onto their Azure environment, so that Pricing and Data Science can maximise their output.
So let's talk technical skills.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
SQL
Python (Advanced)
Azure stack (Synapse, Databricks, ADF)
ETL pipelines
Some knowledge of Pricing/Actuarial as a business area and what they do
This will be a hybrid role, working from their London Bridge office a few days per week.
