Key responsibilities of the role include -
To perform a Criminal Intelligence Analyst Role within Police Scotland's Intelligence Support function undertaking research and analytical assessment on a wide range of data, information and crime intelligence in support of the operational requirements of the unit, division or department as they impact at a tactical, operational or strategic level.
The Criminal Intelligence Analyst will provide direct analytical support, to proactive and reactive investigations and policing matters.
The support will be in line with agreed terms of reference as managed by the Analyst Co-ordinator and supervised by the Senior Analyst and will be by way of intelligence development and verbal/written assessments to support strategic, investigative and operational work.
The nature of the work will require the production and presentation of evidential material. It is likely that the analyst will be supporting a number of jobs/operations at any one time.
This role will be Monday-Friday
