We have an exciting opportunity for a CNC Turning Technician to join our team at our manufacturing site in Basingstoke.
Hours: Monday to Friday 6am – 2pm & 2pm – 10pm, alternating weekly.
The role:
As CNC Turning Technician, you will set and operate the manufacturing plant in the Flexible Manufacturing Unit.
Key duties and responsibilities:
• Setting and operating CNC Turning and Milling Machines.
• Deburring components and completing secondary operations in cycle as required.
• Monitoring the quality of components using a wide range of equipment including CMM
• Maintaining machines and equipment used to detect preventative or other maintenance as instructed.
• Accurately completing production documentation
• Carrying out secondary production operations.

What are we looking for?
As CNC Turning Technician, you will have the following:
Essential skills:
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understanding CMM reports.
• Ability to follow verbal, written, and pictorial instructions.
• Basic PC skills
• Have a good level of manual dexterity to deburr machined components with hand tools.
• Excellent hand to eye co-ordination
• A right first-time mentality
• Positive, flexible, and co-operative to meet team goals.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work without supervision as well as working within a team
Desirable skills:
• An apprenticeship or MOD equivalent
