Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
As a Bank Support Worker with Community Integrated Care, you’ll have the opportunity to support people across five supported living services in the Basingstoke area. Each service is unique, but what they all share is a warm, welcoming team and a group of people who are looking for someone kind, patient, and enthusiastic to join them.
The people you’ll be supporting have a range of learning disabilities and physical disabilities, and no two days will ever be the same. You might be helping someone enjoy a favourite hobby, supporting with day‑to‑day routines at home, or joining them on meaningful trips out in the community. At times, you may be offering physical support, helping with mobility, or using the training we provide to support someone safely with their personal care.
Because the services are close to one another, you’ll get to know lots of different people, each with their own personalities, preferences, and routines. Some love getting out and about — visiting local parks, cafés, shops, clubs, or simply going for a drive. Others prefer quieter days at home, enjoying activities like listening to music, crafts, cooking, watching films, or spending time in shared spaces.
You’ll work alongside dedicated staff teams in each service, who will welcome you and help you settle in quickly. As a bank worker, you’ll be an important part of making sure the people we support always receive safe, consistent, and person‑centred support — even when regular team members are on leave.
We will provide full training in the key areas you’ll need, including:
9. Supporting people with learning and physical disabilities
10. Medication
11. Moving and positioning
12. Safeguarding
13. Person‑centred approaches
14. Specialist training relevant to individual needs
Flexibility is a big part of this role — but so is the chance to build long‑term relationships, gain experience across multiple services, and make a genuine difference wherever you work.
If you’re someone who is calm, friendly, adaptable, and motivated to help people live their best life, you’ll feel right at home in any of our Basingstoke services.
