My client, a leading European photonics and fibre-optics manufacturer, is seeking to appoint a Technical Sales Manager to join its growing commercial team. The company develops highly specialised optical and fibre-based solutions that support a wide range of industrial, scientific, and infrastructure applications worldwide.
You will be joining the business at a pivotal stage of growth, operating at the intersection of engineering and commercial strategy. You will be responsible for translating complex technical concepts into commercial opportunities, building long-term customer partnerships, and driving business growth.
The role involves managing and developing existing customer relationships while identifying new opportunities across key markets. Rather than selling standard catalogue products, you will work closely with engineers, researchers, and technical decision-makers to understand specific application requirements and deliver tailored solutions that meet their needs.
Candidates with a background in photonics, optics, fibre optics, physics, engineering, or a related technical discipline are encouraged to apply. Previous experience in sales, applications engineering, business development, or another customer-facing technical role would be advantageous. However, technically strong specialists looking to transition into a commercial position will also be considered.
