Retail Assistant Manager (12 Month Contract) Staffline Ireland are recruiting for a Retail Assistant Manager for a company in the leisure, tourism and events industry. The Retail Assistant Manager is responsible for the smooth running of the customer experience within the Retail Outlets in accordance with agreed company standards, in a professional and efficient manner. The main outlets this role will supervise will be the Store, Galley Café and Pantry Restaurant. Responsibilities: Support and assist the Retail Outlets Manager in the operation of the Outlets on a daily basis and with forward planning in line with the business objectives. Assist in managing the Crew to provide a five-star service to all visitors to by ensuring they uphold the ethos of the organization and adhere to all policies including uniform and personal presentation. Support weekly and monthly payroll processes by ensuring all time and attendance data, roster changes, and payroll updates are accurate, complete, and submitted within required deadlines. Assist in all areas of staff management including holiday requests, monitoring work performance, recruitment, delivering training, and conducting probationary and performance reviews. Assist in maintaining the accurate training and supporting development pathways of Retail Outlets crew ensuring training is kept up to date. Ensure a visible management presence on the floor at key times, leading by example and partaking in duties as required by the needs of the business. Work with the Retail Outlets Manager to set clear daily sales targets for the team, measure results, provide performance feedback throughout the day to ensure Crew remain focused on maximizing sales, driving secondary spend and achieving ATV. Assist in the commercial performance of Retail Outlets, implementing the annual business plan and generating profits to the levels set within the associated departmental budget. Implement promotions as directed and monitor penetration levels to ensure a high level of customer interaction to drive footfall into the Retail Outlets. Assist in driving Visitor satisfaction scores providing feedback and focus to the wider team. Assist in the handling of all customer questions, complaints and issues professionally and in a timely manner. Maintain accurate and up-to-date stock records across all Retail Outlets, working closely with the Retail Outlets Manager and Procurement Team to manage the stock database within agreed levels. Work alongside the Retail Outlets Manager and Procurement Team to maintain working relationships with established suppliers. Maintain the Merchandising of the Retail Outlets (particularly Store) Support the Retail Outlets Manager in the departmental annual business planning process. Manage online orders and shipping via Retail Inbox. Any other duties role may involve. Essential Criteria: 2 years experience at Assistant Manager/Senior Supervisor level or above within a tourism / visitor attraction retail / food or retail environment having direct line management responsibility for a team. Proven experience of the ability to maximize sales and achieve revenue targets. Ability to drive and motivate a team to achieve targets and secondary spend. Ability to analyse financial data and customer feedback to inform decision making. Experience in a fast-paced customer focused role Experience of auditing/ stock check procedures Experience managing rotas for a large team with seasonal demands.
