We are exploring the launch of a crypto-based prediction market platform (similar in concept to Polymarket). Before building anything, we want an experienced exchange / market structure expert to review and help design the core mechanics.
This is NOT a coding role. We are looking for someone who understands market microstructure, liquidity mechanics, AMMs vs order books, and incentive design.
Scope:
Advise on AMM vs order book architecture for a binary prediction market
Help model initial liquidity requirements per market
Design a fee structure that does not distort price discovery
Advise on maker/taker incentives and liquidity bootstrapping
Identify major structural risks (exposure, imbalance, LP loss, etc.)
Stress-test early-stage economic assumptions
Ideal background:
Experience working with crypto exchanges, DeFi protocols, or betting exchanges
Strong understanding of liquidity provisioning and pricing curves
Familiarity with automated market makers and/or CLOB models
Quantitative mindset (comfortable modeling scenarios)
Clear communicator — able to explain tradeoffs simply
This is an advisory role. We are looking for sharp thinking and honest critique, not just validation.
Please briefly describe:
Your experience with exchange or AMM design
Any relevant projects (especially prediction markets, DeFi, or trading venues)
How you would approach liquidity bootstrapping in a new market
We are open to continuing engagement if the fit is strong.
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months. with 30 hours per week.
Mandatory skills: DeFi, Blockchain, market making, quantative analysis, algorithmic trading, Financial Modeling
