The role is fully remote with monthly visits to the Head Office in Gateshead. Responsibilities of the Mid-Senior Magento Developer: Implementing new features and fixing bugs for the current portfolio of eCommerce storesMaintaining and optimising infrastructure to provide best performance across all storesCarrying out regular deployments ensuring stability is top priorityCarrying out regular code reviewsImplementing integrations between Magento, our in-house systems and 3rdParty services Building bespoke modules to accomplish business requirementsProviding estimates for scope of workCarrying out stringent testing on all sites and projects ensuring effective functionality is maintained and no new issues are introducedUsing industry insight and initiative to discover new ways to improve the current store’s portfolioProviding support for the in-house team with technical queries and troubleshooting current stores’ portfolioMentoring junior team membersKey skills we’re looking for:At least 5 years of experience working with Magento 2. Git/Bitbucket account with examples of your work would be very beneficial.Expert knowledge of Magento 2 Full Stack (Adobe Commerce Cloud)Expert knowledge of PHP, MySQL and APIs (REST/GraphQL)Strong knowledge of Redis, Caching (Fastly) and RabbitMQStrong knowledge of website performance optimisation and security best practicesStrong attention to detail and ability to work independentlyStrong coding standards and methodologiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsEager to learn and passionate about web technologiesMagento Developer 1.0 (April 2024) 3You’ll stand out if you have any of the following:Magento 2 CertificationExperience with New Relic
