Payroll Specialist – 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract We’re looking for a highly organised, detail-driven Payroll Specialist to join our Group Payroll Team within People Operations. This hybrid role plays a key part in processing and reconciling multiple payrolls across the Group, supporting ongoing growth and transformation. What You’ll Be Doing Processing multiple monthly payrolls accurately and on time, including new starters, leavers, and statutory payments. Managing end-to-end payroll reconciliation for 1,500–5,000 employees. Administering, checking, and auditing expenses in line with company policy. Handling payroll queries via phone, email, ServiceNow, or face-to-face. Ensuring full compliance with PAYE, NI, pensions and all HMRC/TPR-related regulations. Uploading net wages into banking systems and managing timely payment runs. Completing month-end payroll activities, including reporting for Finance. Supporting acquisitions, onboarding new entities, and assisting with data integrations. Contributing to system enhancements, upgrades, and migrations. Maintaining data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality across all payroll and HR systems. What We’re Looking For Proven experience in a high-volume, multi-entity payroll environment. Strong systems experience (knowledge of Cascade, SD Worx, Dayforce, or similar platforms is advantageous). Experience supporting system migrations, data imports, or acquisition integrations. Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables). Exceptional attention to detail with strong organisational and time-management skills.
