We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated person who will provide secretarial support within the Neurodevelopment Service within Children & Young People’s Division based at Eirias Park, Colwyn Bay. The candidate will have a good standard of education, excellent communication skills, be able to work on their own initiative, and be efficient and organised with their own workload. They should also have excellent keyboard skills and experience of Microsoft Office Package. The post holder will undertake a variety of duties, including covering for the Pathway‑Coordinator as required. A good telephone manner is essential. Ability to speak Welsh is beneficial but not essential.
Main Duties / Responsibilities
 * Support the coordination of administrative arrangements to provide a high quality secretarial service to the consultant, medical and nursing team.
 * Work independently and be accountable for organising and prioritising own workload to ensure deadlines are met.
 * Facilitate patient care along a defined pathway.
 * Demonstrate a professional and sensitive manner and maintain confidentiality at all times.
 * Cover for the Pathway‑Coordinator when required.
Qualifications and Skills
 * Essential: NVQ Business Administration L3 or equivalent; RSA/OCR Level 2 or equivalent; knowledge of a range of administrative processes; experience working in a busy office environment; proficient communication skills with all staff; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experienced in planning, organising and prioritising own workload; flexibility and adaptability to changing service demands; excellent organisational skills.
 * Desirable: AMSPAR City & Guilds L3; NVQ Customer Service L3; experience working within the NHS; minute-taking skills; Welsh speaking.
