Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA)
We are working with a very well established energy-efficiency business working with national retrofit and home-upgrade schemes. Due to continued growth, they are looking for additional Domestic Energy Assessors to join their expanding team.
This role involves carrying out energy and retrofit surveys on a range of domestic properties to help identify the best energy-saving improvements available to homeowners.
You’ll be working across the North West and North Wales (and occasionally other parts of the UK), helping households reduce energy costs and carbon emissions through practical, real-world solutions.
Responsibilities
* Carry out whole-house energy assessments in line with current PAS standards.
* Conduct technical surveys for a wide range of home-improvement measures such as Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP), Solar PV systems, Internal Wall, Room-in-Roof, Flat Roof and Floor Insulation, Loft and Cavity Wall Insulation, Heating controls, ventilation, and efficiency upgrades
* Collect accurate property data, including measurements, photos, and floor plans, using a mobile survey app.
* Communicate clearly with homeowners about proposed improvements and the installation process.
* Work closely with internal teams to ensure surveys are completed to a high standard and within deadlines.
Requirements
* DEA accreditation (Retrofit Assessor qualification preferred).
* Knowledge or experience working with traditional or heritage buildings is a strong advantage.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across regions.
* Confident, organised, and able to communicate effectively with homeowners.
* Comfortable using IT systems and mobile survey tools.
* Positive, self-motivated attitude with strong attention to detail.
Salary Package
* Competitive salary: £25,000 – £35,000 per year
