External Merchant Sales Representative – U Value Insulation Group

We are experiencing significant growth and are seeking an External Merchant Sales Representative to support our North West region. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to the company’s growth by developing new business and expanding existing customer bases within the merchant sector.


Key Responsibilities

* Build new sales opportunities with main contractors and architects with follow‑up quotations, calls and emails to generate new sales.
* Prospect new business through company background research and other pertinent lead information.
* Identify customer buying trends and provide reports to management.
* Enter, update and maintain CRM information on leads, prospects and opportunities.
* Grow new business by engaging with decision‑making stakeholders within the construction industry.
* Build a strong network of industry & sector partners, installers, architects & builders to seek support for both business growth and retention.
* Achieve sales KPI's and targets.
* Work collaboratively as part of the wider sales teams, customer operations and logistics.
* Participate in sales meetings to communicate pipeline and progress on sales opportunities.


Requirements

* Ideally 3+ years of experience in an external sales role, ideally in the construction industry.
* Adaptable, self‑driven & team oriented.
* Strong negotiation skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to multi‑task, organise and prioritise work.
* Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment within a high‑growth business.
* Confident, resilient and target driven.
* Identify leads, manage prospects and acquire new business.
* Support existing clients.
* Effectively demonstrate product line knowledge.
* Meet established goals and sales targets.
* Experience working with building providers.
