We're looking for a proactive and skilled Performance Improvement & Insight Officer to join a forward-thinking local authority's housing service. This is a key role within the newly established Business Insight and Improvement team, designed to help drive service transformation and ensure the council delivers excellent housing outcomes for residents.
You'll be responsible for embedding a performance culture across the service by analysing performance data, identifying improvement opportunities, and supporting strategic decision-making with high-quality insight.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver the housing service's performance framework, ensuring robust monitoring and reporting across key indicators.
2. Provide data-led insight to support business planning, regulatory compliance, service transformation, and resident engagement.
3. Work closely with service managers to support continuous improvement and improve outcomes.
4. Produce reports, dashboards and analysis to identify trends and highlight areas for improvement.
5. Support the effective delivery of complaints resolution, policy development, and service evaluation.
6. Lead on projects that enhance resident experience and operational efficiency.
About You
1. You bring experience working in a performance, improvement, or insight role, ideally within housing or public services.
2. You're comfortable managing large datasets, producing performance reports, and driving service improvement through data and feedback.
3. You have a strategic mindset with the ability to interpret data and apply it to policy and practice.
4. You're confident engaging with a range of stakeholders and influencing change across teams.
5. You're proactive, highly organised and passionate about delivering better services for residents.
