2fawcett Infrastructure are partnering with a leading engineering consultancy in their search for a Graduate or mid-level Project Manager to support multidisciplinary project teams in profitably delivering development and design projects within the Energy sector. As the Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the delivery of technical, contractual, financial and programme performance of projects, provide outstanding customer service, internally and externally. The work will be office based with travel for meetings, workshops, and site visits (as required) up to 2 or 3 days per week. Key responsibilities and accountabilities Project Management Support and coordinate a multidisciplinary project team to deliver the scope of work on time and to budget (with profitable outcomes) Support on H&S and CDM for projects Look after the clients needs Manage the contract and variations. Minimise risk to the company by negotiating contract terms and conditions Manage the invoicing process Engage (via direct allocation or mini-competitive tender event) and manage subcontractors as required Plan and deliver the site visit and survey strategies Prepare and manage the Project Programme(s) Tendering Develop new client relationships and opportunities Lead new project tenders or quotes. Including the preparation of tender documents and costs and programmes. Quality Systems and Health & Safety Internal business reporting on key project performance metrics Ensure all Quality, Environmental and Safety Documentation is prepared and issued in accordance with company procedures and health and safety legislation Undertake risk assessments and safety audits and sensible monitoring in line with relevant safety legislation, health and safety systems and procedures Qualifications and experience Suitable engineering or Town Planning related degree or equivalent Experience: (For mid-level applicants) - Minimum of 2 years relevant transmission and distribution design experience or linear infrastructure town planning (consenting) experience Desirable: Development Consent Order (or similar) experience Desirable: OHL, cable, or substation design experience Desirable: professional chartership Desirable: NEC contract knowledge Core Values: All employees are expected to follow core values which provide the very basis on which the business operates: Trust: The one thing that changes everything.
