Job Description
3. Manage the procurement process for designated food categories.
4. Develop and implement category strategies to optimize costs and supplier performance.
5. Identify and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and terms.
6. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers.
7. Evaluate and onboard new suppliers to meet business needs.
8. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues promptly.
9. Negotiate contracts ensuring optimal terms, pricing, and service levels.
10. Contract management, ensuring compliance and managing renewals and amendments effectively.
11. Implement strategies to manage and reduce product inflation.
12. Explore new sourcing opportunities to maintain cost efficiency.
13. Conduct regular spend analysis to ensure budget adherence and identify areas for improvement.
14. Juggle multiple procurement projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
15. Coordinate with development teams to align procurement activities with project timelines.
16. Identify and mitigate risks associated with the procurement of goods and services.
17. Develop contingency plans to manage supply chain disruptions.
18. Collaborate with internal stakeholders
19. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on procurement activities and outcomes.
20. Develop and implement strategies to source sustainable products.
21. Ensure suppliers comply with sustainability standards.
22. Support brand and menu development by sourcing innovative products.
23. Work closely with marketing and development teams.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Category Manager should have:
24. Proven experience in procurement and category management within QSR or catering.
25. Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
26. Ability to analyse market trends and data to make informed decisions.
27. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
28. Knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices.
