Fender is looking for a Product Owner, eCommerce EMEA to join our fast growing and dynamic global eCommerce team. This is a key role in delivering and optimizing the global ecommerce experience across the EMEA region. Working close with the UK based EMEA eCommerce, US based global Product teams you will play a pivotal to bridge global product strategy and regional execution, ensuring that global initiatives are effectively implemented, localized, and supported to meet the needs of EMEA customers and markets. This role will be representing go-to-market strategies into the region for the features we build, including support for the improvements, and expansion plans for Fender, Jackson, PreSonus and more.
We place product discovery, brand elevation, customer engagement and revenue potential at the forefront. You’ll be marshaling and nurturing regional business stakeholders, eCommerce and marketing representatives to understand the ‘regional voice’ breaking down the complexities and challenges of the local markets to help inform, build and deliver a global best-in-class direct-to-consumer experience for our customers in the EMEA region within a ‘think globally, act locally’ mind set supporting our growth goals for the region.
The role demands technical depth, with principled, empathetic and innovative thinking, sound judgment, and a refusal to settle at “just OK” In addition: a high bar for quality and design, and a mentality of starting with the “Player” and working backward into experiences and products that make them better holistically.
About the Job:
* Be the regional Product voice for eCommerce initiatives across EMEA, translating the global strategy into regional delivery plans, contributing to the success for global feature roll outs and being the advocate for regional specific projects.
* Manage and refine theregional backlog, ensuring timely rollout and adoption of new features and enhancements.
* Supportlocalization and configuration of global features to meet EMEA-specific requirements (languages, regulations, customer preferences).
* Work across multiple brands within the EMEA region to understand the architecture required to run a scalable .com product that thinks globally and can act locally to fit our regional business requirements.
* Internalize, contextualize, and advocate the mission of the Fender brand and products we build into onsite improvements and new features adding regional value to our strategic roadmap.
* Be naturally inquisitive in feature functionality to understand platform capabilities, push its limitations, and evaluate how feature enhancement translates into our business needs and growth goals. Working cross functionally to inform and educate on regional complexities and challenges
* Drive and keep cross-functional teams focused on the goal of the end product with a consistent set of KPIs and goals/objectives.
* Be the arbiter of truth: collect, contextualize, and help drive decisions through data. Solicit feedback and explore the best-in-class landscape. Strike a balance between our global .com product strategy, regional business objectives, customer needs, and technological capabilities.
* Collaborate with the business, engineering, design, product marketing, research teams and other stakeholders, contributing to the creation, development, and iteration of roadmap
* Monitor and measure product features after launch as a part of the “Measure” and “Learn” portions of Lean product thinking, feedback the regional impact and effectiveness.
* Clearly communicate roadmap, goals, findings, and data (good and bad) to executives, stakeholders, and the public at large. Be your own marketer.
What You Need:
* Experience in launching digital products within a commerce vertical, with a solid technical understanding. Musical Instrument, Lifestyle commerce or entertainment industry-related commerce is a plus.
* Experience with international eCommerce (multi-brand / multi-currency / multi-lingual support, country-by-country checkout and VAT requirements, etc.)
* Experience working in a matrixed, global organization or with distributed teams
* Experience with ecommerce platforms, including driving purchase funnel optimization, increasing AOV, and omnichannel shopping experiences
* Experience delivering high quality, successful consumer internet/media commerce experiences.
* Excellent design and user experience instincts with an empathetic approach to customer development.
* A desire for perfection in every aspect of what you make.
* The ability to drive, motivate, support, and earn the trust of cross-functional teams.
* A strong communicator, with the ability to be able to translate technical information for a wider audience
* A great understanding of data and how to tell narratives from it.
Bonus Points:
* Experience with Shopify is a strong plus
* Experience working with a CMS integration, such as Contentful
* Experience working within React, Next.JS code bases
* Experience with cross-platform commerce integration
* Experience building lifestyle commerce-type products
* A background working within multi-lingual and localizable web experience
* Multi-platform/multi-screen experience.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree preferred or the equivalent level of professional experience.
