We require a highly motivated and innovative person to join our Orthopaedic Physiotherapy team in NHS Borders. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to complete clinical and non‑clinical duties together with service development activities.
Post holders will be based in the BGH working on the Orthopaedic Wards, to support delivery of high quality care working in collaboration with physiotherapists and occupational therapists. This role involves working with a delegated caseload within both trauma and elective pathways using formal protocols as well as a number of non‑clinical duties. Ongoing personal and professional development is essential to provide a quality service and is supported through CPD, appraisals and in‑service training. Expectation that the post holder will support weekend orthopaedic rota working.
Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check than is currently the case. If the post is assessed as a "regulated role", your appointment will be subject to joining the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
To work in the United Kingdom, there is a legal requirement for an individual to demonstrate that they have the relevant permission to work in the country.
