Objective To work as a supervisor, providing a high level of customer service at our client site and support to the Security Manager and wider team. Act as the first point of contact and to liaise with the client and stakeholders where applicable. Working alongside the wider Security Team and all service lines on site. Ensuring the protection of persons and property and thereby the provision of a safe and secure environment. Duties Assist in the Management of the Security contract at the Client’s premises. Control, monitor and instruct the Security Officers alongside the Security Manager in procedures, including but not restricted to Assignment Instructions; Reception Duties; Health & Safety and any Client instructions. Ensure Assignment Instructions are adhered to at all times by security personnel. Ensure all staff are trained to the client’s and the company’s standards. Develop teamwork within the workforce, ensuring high morale through effective motivational methods and ongoing training. Provide line management responsibility to Security Officers, including welfare issues under the guidance of the Security Manager and HR Review Security Officer performance and development and report to the Security Manager To comply with company health and safety procedures Maintain a high standard of communication and good working relationship with all other Security Officers and the Client Carrying out all other duties as required in a professional and diligent manner. To ensure each Site Handover is done, sent out and completed in full of all checks done and messages included. Carry our escort duties for Contractors and some deliveries as required. Ensuring that no unauthorised persons are permitted in prohibited areas. Maintaining an accurate records Manage ad-hoc projects/tasks. Monitoring and responding to all CCTV and intruder alarms across various sites outside of the core site. Liaison with the Building Services for out of hours service calls General security duties and duties in line with the front of house role as requested by the Facilities Team. Person Specification The Supervisor should be of smart appearance and good character. They should have a level of basic to intermediate (2-3 years) experience within the Security Industry at Supervisor level or above. The Supervisor will form a key part in assisting the Security Manager with daily task and objectives that need to be adhered to in line with Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Service Level Agreement (SLA) therefore they should be able to take direction and guidance in line with Client and/or Company standards. There also be a level reliability, self-motivation to work without supervision while the Security Manager is in meeting or on leave. Further onsite training will be provided to ensure they have the required level of understanding and exposure in order to provide a seamless transition during this time. First Aid qualification is desired, but not essential, as training can be provided by company where required. A CCTV licence is required for this role. Training Officers must undergo a minimum of 3 to 4 days on site training. Aptitudes and attitudes Excellent literacy and communication skills, together with excellent verbal and written English Possess a good telephone manner. Be computer literate, E-mail, Word and Excel. Carry and be capable or using all security equipment necessary to efficiently perform the duties required of a professional security officer. Personal attributes A consistently smart appearance in the uniform provided and required by UniTrust and its clients. Reliability, energetic, self-motivation and ability to use own initiative and work without supervision. Be able to cope with multiple tasks in a calm professional manner. Excellent timekeeping at all times. The ability to tactful and deploy a level diplomacy to deal with people at all levels including the client, the client’s tenants and visitors in all circumstances including emergencies and other times of stress. Self-confidence and an interest in self-development. An excellent level of physical fitness to enable the post holder to perform patrol and emergency response duties efficiently and effectively.
