We're working closely with a highly respected, Top 20 accountancy firm that’s on the lookout for an experienced and motivated Audit Senior to join their Newbury office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys taking the lead on audits, supporting junior team members, and building strong relationships with a diverse client base.
This position offers a great balance of technical challenge and professional development. You’ll be responsible for managing statutory audit assignments from planning through to completion, liaising directly with clients and internal teams to ensure work is delivered to a high standard.

Role Responsibilities
* Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies
* Leading audit fieldwork at client premises in accordance with ISAs
* Ensuring compliance with accounting and auditing standards
* Drafting corporation tax computations and identifying adjustments
* Supporting and mentoring junior staff, helping them develop both technically and professionally
* Working directly with Client Managers and Directors to deliver excellent service
* Keeping up to date with changes in legislation, standards, and industry trends

Candidate Requirements
Essential:
* Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent)
* Strong audit and accounts background in practice
* UK company audit experience
* Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office
* Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
* Team-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
Desirable:
* Experience with SAGE, Xero, QuickBooks, or Kashflow
* Familiarity with CCH audit automation software
* Exposure to corporate client environments
