As a BP141 / SR141 / TP141 Commissioning Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the delivery of 400kV substation projects, focusing on:
* Leading commissioning panel meetings.
* Managing the interface with National Grid.
* Overseeing and coordinating the project commissioning processes across multiple schemes.
You’ll be primarily office-based in Newcastle, with occasional site visits, providing you with a consistent base while still being directly engaged with project delivery.
Responsibilities:
* Act as the main commissioning interface with National Grid.
* Attend and lead commissioning meetings, ensuring smooth communication across stakeholders.
* Manage commissioning documentation, schedules, and compliance with NG standards (BP141, SR141, TP141).
* Coordinate across 6–7 live 400kV substation projects.
* Support the safe and timely delivery of commissioning works.
* Provide reporting and assurance to senior project teams.
Requirements:
* Valid National Grid BP141 / SR141 / TP141 authorisations.
* Proven background in commissioning 400kV substation projects.
* Strong understanding of National Grid procedures and safety rules.
* Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
