An exciting opportunity for a full-time Assessment Advisor has become available within the Salford Assist Team, offering support and advice to people in need of various forms of support. The role involves undertaking holistic assessments and evaluations of applications, ensuring scheme criteria are applied, and making informed decisions on the appropriate course of action.
About the Role
The Assessment Advisor position is very busy, requiring the ability to manage workload effectively while working as part of a team. The role ensures responsibilities and deadlines related to supporting the service are met within agreed timescales.
We seek an enthusiastic, proactive team member who can positively impact people's lives through a caring, considerate, and patient approach, committed to supporting vulnerable individuals and helping them access the support they need during difficult times.
About you
Candidates must demonstrate the following requirements to be shortlisted:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work under pressure and show flexibility to meet service needs
* Excellent organisational skills
* Understanding of positive team working and ability to develop positive relationships with the team, other council services, and partner organisations
* Experience working with vulnerable people
* Experience with ICT systems
You will be welcomed into a supportive, experienced, and forward-thinking team that draws on a wide range of professional and specialist support to achieve excellent outcomes for the residents of Salford.
Please note that this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and you will need to cover the cost (£21.50). The payment will be deducted from your first four salary payments at £5.38 per month. If you do not start employment but the DBS check has been processed, you will be invoiced for the amount.
This is a hybrid working role with 2 office days and 3 remote days per week.
