Residential Care Home Deputy Manager Location: Stockport Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 per annum Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent About the Role We are recruiting an experienced and proactive Deputy Manager for a well-respected residential care home in Stockport. This is a fast-paced position where you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring residents receive the highest standard of person-centred care. You’ll work closely with the Home Manager to maintain compliance, lead the care team, and manage critical operational areas such as admissions, discharges, and care delivery. Key Responsibilities Oversee admissions and discharges, ensuring a smooth and person-centred process. Liaise effectively with healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies. Lead, support, and motivate care staff to deliver outstanding care. Write, review, and update care plans in line with residents’ needs. Conduct audits and maintain compliance with CQC standards. Assist the Home Manager with staff management, training, and supervision. Promote a positive and caring culture within the home. About You Previous experience in a residential care home, ideally in a Deputy Manager or senior supervisory role. Confident liaising with multidisciplinary teams and healthcare professionals. Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations and quality standards. Strong organisational and leadership skills. NVQ Level 3 Compassionate, professional, and committed to delivering high-quality care.
