Quality Assurance Engineer Stonehouse – Permanent – Full-time – Salary Up to £45,000 An established engineering firm in Stonehouse is looking to recruit a Quality Engineer who can play a key role in upholding and improving the business's quality systems and project execution standards. This is a hands-on, detail-driven role that sits at the heart of the manufacturing and delivery process – ideal for someone with a passion for standards, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. The Role: · Lead the implementation and development of quality assurance protocols across key manufacturing activities · Ensure all internal processes align with customer specs, industry standards and ISO 9001:2015 requirements · Liaise directly with customers and supply chain contacts on quality expectations, concerns, and compliance issues · Review and optimise Quality Control Plans and ensure alignment with the company’s stage-gate approach to projects · Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions where issues arise · Maintain and develop Quality Management System documentation and processes · Offer support and guidance to the wider team on quality standards, tools, and best practices · Play a key part in lessons learned reviews, sharing findings to drive continuous improvement The Person: · HNC, HND or degree-level education in an engineering, quality, or technical discipline – essential · In-depth understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and associated quality processes · Strong grasp of engineering drawings, specifications, and technical standards · Confident using hand-held measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers and verniers · Able to manage your own workload effectively, working across multiple priorities · Strong communicator, capable of working across teams and confidently handling both internal and external conversations · Quality audit experience and qualifications (e.g. CQI, internal auditor) – advantageous · Customer-focused, organised, and driven by getting things right the first time · Practical and solutions-oriented approach, with the confidence to challenge where necessary
