The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual who will oversee the company's shipping and dispatch of our products globally.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate Shipping Operations: Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of goods to customers or other facilities.
* Documentation Management: Prepare and verify shipping documents such as invoices, packing lists, customs forms, DGNs.
* Carrier Liaison: Communicate with freight carriers to schedule pickups, resolve issues, and track shipments.
* Inventory Oversight: Monitor stock levels and ensure accurate inventory records during dispatch.
* Quality Assurance: Check outgoing goods for damage, labelling accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
* System Updates: Maintain shipping logs and update ERP or warehouse management systems with dispatch data.
* Compliance: Ensure all shipments meet legal and regulatory requirements, including customs and export controls.
Skills & Qualifications
* Strong organizational and time-management skills
* Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
* Familiarity with shipping methods (ground, air, sea); logistics software; Incoterms; Commodity Codes; Export documentation; Haz goods (shipping and labelling)
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* Excellent communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external partners
* Prior experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations is highly desirable
Education & Training
* A level or equivalent (minimum)
* On-the-job training or vocational qualifications in logistics or supply chain e.g. IAATA / ADR
* Certifications in shipping or export compliance (optional but beneficial) e.g. IAATA / ADR
Full-time position 37.5 hours/week, may be suitable for part-time hours, but on a daily basis
