Your new role
This is a 12-month maternity cover working as an HR Business Partner, being responsible for an effective and customer-focussed HR Service. You will form part of a dedicated and proactive HR team that is visible and embedded in the business, based in Bury St Edmunds with 1 day a week flexible working and some possible regional travel. Duties include but not limited to:
2. Delivering the People Plan alongside business leaders
3. Working closely with employees to implement people plans locally
4. Performance management and policy implementation
5. Co-ordinating and managing employee engagement activity in the region
6. Working with the Senior Managers to drive up line management capability and ownership of people management
7. Working with leadership teams to facilitate succession planning and coaching
8. Helping to drive performance across the business through MI
9. Initiating, leading and supporting HR projects
10. Facilitating the recruitment and assessment process for roles in the business area
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this job you will require:
11. CIPD Level 5 or equivalent
12. Developing and managing change programmes
13. Strong relationship management skills with the ability to engage with, and influence a range of stakeholders
14. Reporting and providing insight
15. Policy implementation, performance management, and employee relations
16. Confidence in dealing with contentious issues, using professionalism and confidentiality
17. Strong team ethic with the ability to work across departments, preferably in a matrix structure
18. Proven experience of prioritising work in an environment with changing priorities
