Pay: £80–£110 per day (depending on experience)

A nurturing and inclusive specialist school in Bushey is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their friendly team this September. The school supports pupils with autism and complex needs, offering a structured environment and excellent multi-agency support.
About the Role
This is a full-time, term-time role ideal for someone who is compassionate, proactive, and committed to helping children thrive. Whether you're experienced in SEN education or looking to begin your journey, you’ll be supported by a knowledgeable and welcoming team.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with autism and related needs
Assist in delivering personalised learning and therapy sessions
Help students build communication, social, and life skills
Support emotional regulation and implement positive behaviour strategies
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure consistent support
Assist with personal care when necessary
Maintain accurate records and contribute to tracking pupil progress
What We’re Looking For
Experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred, not essential)
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Good communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to learn and undertake relevant training
Dependable, flexible, and committed to inclusive education
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
