At our plant in Glenrothes, Scotland, we design, develop, and produce radial piston motors working in partnership with world-renowned international OEMs in industries such as material handling, construction, and forestry machinery. Bosch Rexroth is one of the world’s leading specialists in the field of drive and control technologies. Under the brand name Rexroth, the company supplies customers with tailored solutions for driving, controlling, and moving industrial applications, factory automation equipment, mobile applications, and renewable power generation.
The apprenticeship will involve various rotations across the machining, manufacturing, and engineering areas of the Glenrothes plant, providing a broad range of valuable experience across the relevant areas of the business. We are looking for talented individuals with a genuine interest in a large engineering business.
Job Description
* Ability to work on own initiative, as part of a team, and to follow instructions.
* Ability to approach problems logically.
* Ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation both verbally and in writing.
* Drive your own development and complete all training modules successfully and in a timely manner with the support of external auditors.
* Develop a full understanding of all metrology and tooling used to support production.
* Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and documentation.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 4 National Five Qualifications at Level 4 or above.
* Mandatory subject qualifications are English, Maths, a Science, and technical-related subjects including Graphic Communication / Physics.
* Applicants with a relevant NC qualification of Intermediate 2 Maths plus one Higher (Science/Technical related subject at a Grade C or above) may be considered.
* Ability to work on own initiative, as part of a team, and to follow instructions.
* Ability to approach problems logically.
* Ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation both verbally and in writing.
* Foundation Apprenticeship in Engineering or Scientific Technology would be advantageous.
