The Specialist Palliative Care Team is a health and social care team that provides expert clinical and social care services for patients with challenging and complex life-limiting diagnoses and their families. All senior team members act as clinical or social care experts, leaders, and educators within their service areas. The team offers services across all care settings in the North East Lincolnshire locality.
The social welfare team is a small, friendly, and busy team working with patients and families to maximise their income, alleviate poverty, and enable the best quality of life. They provide support to access benefits, apply for grants, and offer advice on issues such as housing, funeral poverty, and benefit appeals.
If you have a relevant degree, recent experience in a social welfare or advisory role, are a team player, enthusiastic about supporting individuals to maximise their income, and have good knowledge of the benefits system, funeral poverty, excellent IT skills, and the ability to complete complex calculations, this post could be for you.
You will need experience and the ability to network with other agencies, including voluntary, statutory, and charitable organizations. You will also contribute to the development of national agendas through the work of Macmillan Cancer Support and local integrated care systems.

The working hours are between 9 am and 5 pm on weekdays, with no requirement to work weekends or bank holidays.
Salary Range 4 (£26,416 - £28,182) pro-rata per annum. You will be appointed at a fixed point within this range.
