Wayman Education is urgently seeking a proactive and technically proficient IT Technician for an immediate start at a forward-thinking secondary school in Hillingdon. This is a vital role within the school’s infrastructure team, ensuring that technology remains a seamless tool for both teaching staff and students.
The Role
You will provide essential front-line technical support across the school site. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable managing everything from hardware repairs to network troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Technical Support: Respond to helpdesk tickets, providing hardware and software support for desktop PCs, laptops, tablets, and interactive whiteboards.
* Network Maintenance: Assist in the management of the school’s LAN/WAN infrastructure, including Wi-Fi connectivity and server health checks.
* User Management: Manage user accounts and permissions via Active Directory and Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.
* Classroom Readiness: Ensure all AV equipment in classrooms and assembly halls is fully functional for daily use.
* Security & Compliance: Assist with regular data backups, anti-virus updates, and ensuring GDPR compliance across all school systems.

* Competency in hardware maintenance and peripheral troubleshooting.
